1-RAB-FRKANJ-KALIFRONT-SREDNJAK-SORINJ- LOPAR-SAN MARINO Tour description: Morning coffee at beach bar Banova Villa(our base) with a short introduction of the program. Then follows boating below 2000 year old city walls and its 4 bell towers towards peninsula Frkanj where there are little beaches next to each other. We will refresh ourselves in the clean clear sea making stops after every few bays and we will do so until we arrive at the bay of Sveta Mara where we will spend some time resting or swimming. We will also be passing by a cave in which the Mediteranean Bear once lived. Then we will be going to Cape Kalifront ,precisely to large gaps which were shaped by the sea and a beach was formed in a semi-cave.This area is ideal for diving because it is located on a plateau with a steep incline of 50 m altitude and around it are many different cave openings in chalky stone. For those that don't like diving we offer trekking along old limestones(150 years) that were used for production of lime in which you can find lovely specimens of nonpoisonous snakes, Rab doesn't have poisonous snakes,or you can see frightened mouflons and deer that are in this protected reservation. After that we will be passing the Kamporska cove and heading towards the sandy islands of Maman,Srednjak i Sailovac where we will take a longer break so that we can explore these three beautiful islands that are connected by shallow areas. If there is no wind on any of these islands we will be setting up a camp where we will spend the night under perfectly visible stars . If there is northern wind we will set up camp in the Vardaškolj(tunera)Cove. The next day we will be rowing along the edge of the coast towards Cape Sorinja where we will refresh ourselves in colder sea and dive in different karrens. This is also the archeological site of 65 amforas from the first half of the 2nd Century B.C.The value of these amforas is proven in a report that National Geographic is doing. We will also spot dolphins in this aquarium if there isn't too much traffic at sea. After swimming and exploring the coast we will be heading towards Lopar passing by the Sorinj beaches that are deeply rooted in the mountain.Passing the Lopar Cove we will arrive at its most beautiful part which is really breath-taking.We will come to beautiful sandy coves, big and small, and their capes bathed in clear sea with a visibility of up to 20 m in depth. We will be stopping at some of these coves to swim or play beach volleyball. On our journey we will also be passing the famous Sahara Bay which got its name because the sand is similiar to the desert sand. After passing by a few more bays and capes we will arrive at the beach of Heaven and its islands in order to arrive at Medove buža hoping we will see a large flock of bats at dusk going hunting. This is where our magical journey ends and for some just begins as it is easy to get addicted to the natural beauty of the Island of Rab. 2 SUP.DRAGA-SORINJ-LOPAR-SAN MARINO-MEDOVA BUŽA-KRKLANT-MAG-MIŠNJAK Tour description: Morning coffee and introduction of daily program. We will arrive at donje Supetarske Drage by van and lay down our kayaks so that we can go sight-seeing and enjoy the nature around us.We will be visiting three fascinating islands that are located on the beginning of this large cove.Sailovac,Srednjak i Maman are sand islands that are connected by shallows and the beautiful clear sea.By stopping at each of them, we will be getting a better insight of each of them. After this, we head towards Vardaškolj(tunera) Cove passing by the Sorinjske Cliffs.Rowing along the coastline towards Cape Sorinja where we will refresh ourselves in colder sea and dive in different karrens. Ovo sljedeće u plavoj boji ne treba prevoditi jer se ponavlja iz texta gore, samo stavi prazan red- This is also the archeological site of 65 amforas from the first half of the 2nd Century B.C.The value of these amforas is proven in a report that National Geographic is doing. After about ten minutes or so, we will put up camp in a split cove in the mountain and relax by the camp fire after dinner watching the stars that appear to be close enough to reach. And the moon that mounts beneath the Velebit shining on the blue sea in the canal ......unforgettable. The next day we will pack and leave behind the area as clean as we found it, without any traces of civilization. Then we will be travelling under aslope and high cliffs of Kamenjak which gradually descends into the blue sea with an altitude of up to 70 m. Infatuated by this large rock we will arrive at the Mali Žal Bay passing Cape Njivice. All of our guides find Mali Žal to be the most beautiful beach knowing that it is located beneath Peak Kamenjak(408 m).This area used to be inhabited by griffon vultures that instinctively return to their ancestors nests on occasion. If we are lucky we might see them. After we rest we will be passing by the beaches and cliffs towards Peak Krklant that is bigger than three soccer fields and have a long stone walls gliding down from the peak of Srednjak(331 m) all away to the sea.An abundant site of petrified remains on cliffs that still endures time and the people that try to take and then destroy them is also located here. The Bili Brak shallow is located about 700 meters from the coast. The crest of the shallow is 10m deep and gradually reaches a depth of 50-70 meters. Then follows the Vašapenča Cove with its large stone blocks that have big and deep openings where figs grow and they are a part of a mountain that split due to tectonic disruptions and earthquakes and created these passages, caves and ditches.Further, we will be approaching Vidilaka Cove and its nearby cliff which we will pass in order to get to Cape Plitki. By passing a few more coves with water springs, it takes us then to the not so far away Mag Cove. Arriving at Mag we will clear our heads, given that the cove is completely different than the others because of the reddish color sand by which it is covered. Here are also located several beautifully shaped hard sand boulders with holes in them and an innate stone bridge-passage under which you can pass if there is a low tide. Here we will arrive at a stone fishermans hut that is now abandoned and used to serve as a cache to the fishermen that went fishing there. They mostly caught tuna that would swim into the cove and they used to watch them from a lookout (tunere) that was put on two balks high above the sea where the fisherman would sit and notify the others when to withdraw the net. We will be leaving Tunera and approach the Maga cliffs that in some places go into dark depths. You will experience this best if you dive around them. The sea is shallow until you get to its cape where you will suddenly be surprised by the sight of abyss. After sedating we will be travelling further below the cliffs towards the ferry boat pier Mišnjak where our magical adventure comes to an end. The sea is shallow until you get to its cape where you will suddenly be surprised by the sight of abyss..After this experience we will be heading towards the ferry boat pier Mišnjak where our route takes us to Cape Gabar and the beautiful red sand beaches Pudarice through the Barbat Chanal rowing down the waterside of visoki Dolin to the islet of Saint George (školjić-island of tears) where we will come under city walls that are more than 2000 years old which will connect us to our destination Banova Villa. Besides the Barbat Canal we may also choose the route that passes the Paški Canal (see the marked in yellow on map) along the southern part of the island Dolin that is lower and greener on that side with only 4 beaches but that is why we have here the amazingly clear and fresh sea that takes us to Cape Dolin and further to the islet of St.George beneath the city walls to the final destination of Banova Villa.
